One way that NAPHIT helps its public health department members is by informing them of IT projects that other health departments have undertaken or completed. Such information could be extremely useful if a department plans to undertake a similar project and wants to learn from the experience of others. Currently, we plan to list the following types of IT projects: Disease Monitoring and Surveillance Systems, Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Geographical Information Systems (GIS), Health Alert Networks (HAN), Immunization, Regional Health Information Organizations (RHIO), and Security Solutions. As we receive information about new IT projects for a given category, we will update and generate a new PDF document.
